2019 FACULTY

 

   Kevin Wilson (L.A.)

Kevin Wilson has a diverse career in dance and choreography. After attending Oklahoma City University he moved to Los Angeles. During this time he has shared the stage with recording artists such as Madonna, Beyoncé, Lenny Kravitz, Christina Aguilera and toured with Janet Jackson (All For You), Britney Spears (Onyx Hotel), and Cher (Final Farewell). Kevin was also a member of the original cast (Los Angeles) of the  Broadway Show, “Disney’s The Lion King” as well as appearing in the feature films Dreamgirls, Austin Powers: Goldmember, Blades of Glory and the highly anticipated Rock of Ages. As an associate choreographer he worked on the sell-out run of Cher - Live at Caesar’s Palace and her current Dressed to Kill tour as well as on So You Think You Can Dance.  As a choreographer he has worked with many artists including Mariah Carey, Donny Osmond, Juan Luis Guerra, Paulina Rubio and with Wayne Brady on his Las Vegas show Makin It Up as well as his remarkable performance on “ABC’s Dancing With The Stars”. In addition, Kevin’s work can be seen on television in America’s Got Talent and Your Chance To Dance.  Most recently, Kevin has completed work on the feature film Rock of Ages as personal Dance Coach to Tom Cruise. He also was assistant choreographer to Mia Michaels on Broadway's hit show, Finding Neverland and
Radio City Rockettes Spring Spectacular.  Kevin recently finished working on Royal Caribbean's brand new show "Sequins & Feathers".

Gisele Silva (SYNCOPATED LADIES)

Gisele Silva is a Brazilian Dancer, Teacher and Choreographer. She has previously toured extensively with Grande Circo Popular do Brasil directed by Marcos Frota and was a part of the dance companies Ribeirão Preto Cia de Dança and Cia Pé na Tabua. She has performed at many of Brazil's most popular events, including Rock in Rio.

In 2018, Gisele relocated to Los Angeles to become a member of Emmy Award Nominated Chloe Arnold's Syncopated Ladies. Some of her recent credits include performing at Essence Fest, Women in the World at Lincoln Center, The BET Experience, National Gallery of Art, Girlboss Rally, Icon Mann, AIDS Healthcare Foundation Tour, PVDFest, TEDx Palo Alto, We Rise LA, and Dance On’s Jones Project x Youtube.

Rachel Siegel (L.A.)        

Rachel’s early training was in various dance studios throughout West Michigan, including Grand Rapids Ballet. Rachel has also trained internationally. Studios include Broadway Dance Center in New York City, Pineapple Dance Center in London, England, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Lou Conte Dance Studio, and Joel Hall School of Dance in Chicago, along with many more. Most recently Rachel toured with KC & The Sunshine Banddancing with their ongoing “Feeling You” Tour. Rachel has won multiple dance and choreography awards at the regional and national levels and also wonTeddy Tedholm’s Storyteller’s Choreography Contest on YouTube. You can see her choreography for the first time on the big screen in the new feature film The Wedding Party now streaming on NETFLIX. Upon moving to Los Angeles Rachel has performed in multiple music videos for successful artists including Tyler Ward, Megan Nicole, Riff Raff, and the Pop Boy Band INNOVATE. She has been an opening act for LA Fashion weekand continues to train and perform with Gina Starbuck, Destini Rogers, Brooke Pierotti as well as other artists at The Edge, Millennium Dance Complex, and Movement Lifetsyle studios. Rachel is currently on tour as a National Director with VIP Dance Competitionand enjoys her time choreographing and teaching classes at dance studios across the country. Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Western Michigan University and is excited to continue her dance career in the commercial industry of Los Angeles, California.

Sharrod Williams (HAMILTON)

Sharrod Williams is an artist based in New York City. He is a graduate of Montclair State University with a dual major in Dance and Communication Studies. His credits include Broadway: Hamilton (Chicago Cast), Tuck Everlasting, CATS (Pouncival), Off-Broadway: Grand Hotel (Encores!), Nat’l Tours: A Chorus Line, Bring It On, Regional: The Muny, Asolo Rep, TUTS, Park Playhouse, TV: Macys Parade, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Happy, Yummy, Chicken (Damian Maloof), Dance Companies: The Chase Brock Experience Doug Elkins and Friends, Life Dance Company, and Von Howard Project. Sharrod has been a teaching artist for over 5 years with various esteemed organizations including the Joffrey Ballet School, Institute of American Musical Theatre, Educational Performance Tours, and Stage Door Workshops. His favorite quote is, “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”

Christie Sirota - Jordon  FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

(PITTSBURGH)

CHRISTIE SIROTA-JORDON has been teaching and creating choreography since the age of 15. Training from east to west coast and along some of LA’s hottest choreographers, she holds a wide variety of styles that bring an exciting blend to the classroom. A Pittsburgh native, Christie has traveled nationally with numerous conventions and workshops including CDI (Commercial Dance Intensive), Dance Masters of America, Dance Caravan, Professional Dance Teachers Association, N-House Productions and VIP Dance Competition, as well as teaches master classes and choreography throughout the country. She is a National Director for VIP Dance Competition, past Director of FLY: Industry Intensive, Owner/Director of 412: The Intensive and is a Regional Trainer for thebodybar(re) fitness franchise. Her credits include Las Vegas Fashion Week, Latin icon JUAN LUIS GUERRA, Disney’s NLT, dance/pop group TAXI DOLL, workout sensation HIP HOP ABS and many others.  Her choreography has been seen in regional productions of Footloose and West Side Story, on stage at Kennywood Amusement Park and in concerts and productions around the country. Christie is extremely excited to be back in Pittsburgh and to work with the dancers and artists of this amazing city.

James A. Washington, a native of Rochester, NY, graduated cum laude from the Conservatory at Point Park University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in dance. His choreography credits include: Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Slippery Rock University, Cleveland School of the Arts, Houston Met Too Youth Company, and Lifetime's Hit Television Show "Dance Moms". James was the 2013 male recipient of the “Brazzy Award,” given for outstanding achievement in the field of dance. Concert Dance Credits Include: August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble (“Top 25 to Watch” in 2012, Dance Magazine), Owen/Cox Dance Group, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and Ballet INC. Musical Theatre Credits Include: "West Side Story" (Paper Mill Playhouse), "In The Heights" (PCLO/LPPAC) and Newsies (PCLO). James currently is a convention teacher for Revel Dance Convention and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association

Tiffanie Carson is an educator, mentor, advisor, and performance artist. She earned her MFA in Dance from  New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts , and completed her BFA in  Dance Performance at Chapman University . Currently, Tiffanie is  Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dance at the Conservatory at Shenandoah University  and is specialist in the area contemporary & commercial jazz dance. She is instrumental in teaching jazz technique classes, as well as guiding senior seminar coursework. Tiffanie has presented works at the 2016 and 2018  New York Jazz Choreography Dance Project  at the Salvatore Capezio Theater in New York, the 2016  VelocityDC Dance Festival  at Sidney Harman Hall in Washington, DC, the 2017 34th  Annual Choreographers’ Showcase  at the Dance Theatre in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park, MD, as well as the 2017  Pushing Progress Series at the Salvatore Capezio Theater  in New York.  Tiffanie also dances and acts as  Assistant Director for Christopher K. Morgan & Artists  (CKM&A, directed by Christopher K. Morgan), resident company of Dance Place in Washington DC, with whom she has performed at the Millennium Stage at the  John F. Kennedy Center  for the Performing Arts,  Sidney Harman Hall , as well as  The Alden Theatre  in McLean, VA. She has also traveled across the United States on a nine city tour as part of the creative and production team for   Pōhaku   .  Tiffanie has conducted CKM&A's annual winter and summer intensives as well as numerous residencies at universities and colleges, with Mr. Morgan, and has traveled with the company to France to conduct an intensive at the  Ècole Superieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower .  In addition to her teaching in the Virginia/DC area she is also a member of  BARE Dance Company  with Mike Esperanza in New York City and a teacher at  Sacred Heart University  in Fairfield, CT. Tiffanie has been fortunate to be a dance educator of 18 years traveling nationally and internationally as a guest artist and choreographer.

Flesh is a two-woman dance project utilizes flesh as the medium through which they create art. Co-founded by  Vicki McWilliams , originally from Phoenix, Arizona and  Montana Michniak , originally from Dallas, Texas. We are dedicated to promoting and supporting the artistic community in Pittsburgh by sharing the vast beauty and capabilities of the female body. Montana received her B.F.A in dance at  Point Park University  under the direction of Ruben Graciani, and graduated in April 2016. Montana held the title of  First Female Apprentice with Parsons Dance , during the 2015-2016 season, under the direction of  David Parsons in New York City . Victoria McWilliams is a graduate of  Point Park University  where she earned her BFA degree-studying dance. Victoria has danced as a company member with  Texture Contemporary Ballet Company  in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania from 2015-2016. These two wonderful women are excited to share their artistry through their project based company,  FLESH
